MONITORING AND EVALUATING MY PROJECT
“Prevention through Education Project”.

Many projects fail along the way of implementation due to poor monitoring and evaluation plan laid down. Tracking and Improving strategies of a project ensures the project remain relevant to the beneficiary community. In order to achieve maximum results, projects must be well conceived, meticulously planned, carefully implemented leading to their successful fruition. In majority of the underdeveloped countries proper attention is not paid to preparation and appraisal of projects and those in position of authority take the instantaneous improvisation of projects and their thoughtless operation and implementation.

With my project, a proper monitoring and evaluation report is drawn and various tasks allocated and timelines scheduled.
Yes I conducted an evaluation for with or without support some of the projects I under took from my funders.

Monitoring and Evaluation of a project are important for two reasons:

a) For learning and development: Monitoring and evaluating your services will help you assess how well you are doing in order to help you do it better. It is about asking what has happened and why - what is and what is not working. It is about using evaluation to learn more about an organization’s activities, and then using that information to change things for the better

b) For accountability - to show others that you are effective: Funders and other 'stakeholders' want to know whether a project has spent its money in the right way. There is pressure from funders to provide them with ‘proof’ of success. Many projects have to respond to this demand in order to survive.

My project will be monitored with a well drawn and properly outlined evaluation plan. With consultations from stakeholders, various tasks and timelines will be allocated to members of the working team. Information and data will be collected through surveys and interviews with various stakeholders which include the community leaders, the heads of institutions and the project funders. Data will be analyzed and reports made available to various stakeholders.a

Many projects around the world especially those managed by young people couldn't survived because they failed to set out clearly what is part of the project and what is not.

This has prompted me to work within a specific resourced area to avoid project getting out of hands.

- Training and resourcing of campaign team
- organized workshops for trainers
- Students embarking of peer-to-beer education

3. What we will exclude
- Counseling for HIV/AIDS positives
- providing aid for people living with HIV/AIDS
- Training and resourcing cannot suffice older peopele.

Preventing scope creep

The desire to see a world free of health problems and diseases has been a major desire and motivation behind the “Prevention through Education’ Project. The project seeks to involve young people in the raising of awareness of HIV/AIDS. It also seeks to employ more sustainable methods of reaching to the rural dweller and also fighting discrimination against people living with the disease.
These issues are very much intersectional and tackling them synegically helps in propagating much effective means of preventing HIV/AIDS.
The younger generation which contributes the workforce also falls within the most affected and therefore devising means of involving them to provide effective campaign is crucial.
